Pictures from London’s Chinese New Year Celebrations 2009

People of all nationalities joined in the fun and were thrilled by the colourful displays and spectacular dragon and lion dances.

It was wonderful to soak up the atmosphere and to walk unhindered on some of the busiest streets in London (one half of Charing Cross Road, Shaftesbury Avenue and the streets around Chinatown were closed to traffic).

If you didn’t make it this year, here are some of my pictures from the day. However, I would recommend you book it in your diaries for next year!
